Mullet on Mulberry is a handmade 6×4 print of three mullet fish, printed in dark, graphic ink on delicate, speckled mulberry paper. The piece explores texture & contrast—bold, crisp ink layered over a paper so lightweight it naturally wrinkles and creases.

Inspired by gyotaku, the traditional Japanese practice of printing fish in black ink directly onto paper.

Mulberry paper is inherently fragile. Subtle wrinkles, creases, and variations are expected and are part of each print’s character.
